Herein, you will find one of the greatest collections of links dealing with the time frame from the mid 60s to the mid 70s, covering the hippy movement and the ideals and directions of the "counterculture" . Some links are just thrown in because I feel they somehow relate to the time from.

As I try to visit Taos at least once a year (it's a great healing place) this station keeps me up on the activities going on there. You all may like it due to the diversity of its programming - eclectic, entertaining and just down right cool - from C & W to Mexican to New Age to Alternative, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
Also check out some of the other cool links on this site - I highly recommend the Earthship link for starters.

Canada's Office of Urban Agriculture
This non-profit society promotes urban food production and environmental conservation from a small office in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia and from their demonstration food garden in nearby Kitsilano, a residential neighbourhood.
Urban Agriculture is a new and growing field that is not completely defined yet even by those closest to it. It concerns itself with all manner of subjects from rooftop gardens, to composting toilets, to air pollution and community development. It encompasses mental and physical health, entertainment, building codes, rats, fruit trees, herbs, recipes and much more.

Read a few of their articles, which address topics such as commercial TV shown in schools, contaminated ponds, and environmental programs, and you'll suddenly feel like planting an organic garden, checking out homeschooling options, and getting into grassroots politics. The magazine features Canada and its environs, but the information about issues such as healing and wellness are helpful for everybody.
