                     INTRODUCTION & MUSINGS

Welcome All!

So, what's it all about man?

Keep On Truckin' Re-Visited is a moderated newsletter/list
about the time between the mid 60s and mid 70s. It was designed
to examine and present a positive nostalgia of a time since
past. It is also designed to provide a forum for you to share
your feelings, thoughts and experiences from that time frame.

Please participate and help this community to grow.

----->

Your subscribe and un-subscribe info is at the end of this mess!

----->

HEY!

Another totally loaded groovy issue this month. Lots of Links,
Quotes, contributions and more!

With spring here, and summer sure to follow, things are really
shaking at my home here in Colorado. I am wanting to get out and
do some hiking, photography, and just enjoying the great outdoors
much more this year. It is amazing how life and living sometimes
has its own plans for our future.

As always, I would really love to hear from more of you. If you
have anything that fits this rag, please share it with us.

If you (any of you) get a chance, just let me know what areas of
the newsletter you like more than the others. Maybe I could focus
a bit more on what you like.

Well, until next time, happy reading!

----->

H. Michael Cunningham, Ph.D.
Once again, thanks for all your contributions. You really help
me out here.

Film, television, and digital media have become a part of almost
everyone's life over the past eighty years, and you can take a
closer look at moving pictures and their impact at The American
Museum of the Moving Image [ http://www.ammi.org/site/site.asp ].
A recent online exhibit explored how television has affected
presidential campaigns since the 1950s and allowed visitors to
watch campaign ads from 1952 to 2000 on Real Player. Other
exhibits used Flash animation to show how moving image machines
work and lead you through a collection of classic video games.

Guitar Central

Ever since Jimi Hendrix gave life and genius to it, the guitar
has been considered the coolest instrument around. It is the
tangible symbol of Rock n' Roll, a glorified ukulele that,
plugged or unplugged, delivers a bolt of severe emotion and
energy to music.  Guitar.com is the online haven for this coveted
instrument's ambitious students, seasoned masters, and loyal
fans.

This website is nothing short of guitar heaven.  There is a
magazine's worth of cool articles, guitar-related discussion
groups, access to personal instruction and great tips and tricks
about playing the instrument.  Check out the Chained Effects
Generator, an interactive program 'designed to give you a basic
idea of the sounds that characterize five stompbox effects'.

The Sacred Narghile

Smoking tobacco through the sacred narghile, otherwise known as a
hookah, is a daily ritual enjoyed by over a hundred million
people (primarily in Europe, Asia and Northern Africa.)  The
ancient water pipe, despite its popularity and history in the
East, is essentially obsolete here in America.

This fascinating website pays tribute to the holy hookah,
exploring the debate over its origins, the international
diversity of the pipe and even its presence as a fixture in art
and society.  It is an extremely detailed look into its
traditions and functions, accompanied with photographs, which
reveals the narghile as not only a tool for smoking tobacco, but
as an exotic instrument of conversation and custom all over the
world.

Fragile [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED]
Yes

Audio CD (August 16, 1994)
Wea/Atlantic; ASIN: B000002J1F

Editorial Review
With the 1972 release of Fragile, Yes established themselves as
one of the most progressive rock bands on the scene. With the
recent addition of towering, silver-caped Rick Wakeman on
keyboards, they raised their innovative brand of music to even
dizzier heights. "Roundabout," which is still a standard on
classic rock playlists, is an unusual track, coming in under
four minutes, while "Heart of the Sunrise"--with its varied
constituents molded together perfectly--goes on for as long as
it needs.--Paul Clark

Like the hit album that inspires its name, Supernatural Live
